I'm back! Did you miss me? I know, I've been gone for three entire months! Where have I been you ask? Well, you may or may not know that I work in the medical field. Hence the picture below in my uniform, back at Halloween time. This is when all heck broke loose and it went down hill from there!
Now, let me explain where I have been. The clinic I work for is EXTREMELY busy due to all the Rona situation going on in our world! When the holidays hit, it was triple-fold-busy like you can not believe! I work 12 hour shifts and it was literally non stop on some days, like I only used the restroom twice in 12 hours busy. My mental health was hit hard! I'm one of two receptionists at our clinic. I'm the first person you meet when you arrive there!
People are NASTY! They will tell you to eff off without hesitation. I consider myself a very nice person and I do my job really well, but its really hard to be nice to rude people.
My mental status was not wanting to deal with anything that made me think, like writing my blog. Nope. Checking emails. Nope. It all went to the wayside.
That's where I've been. I took a mental break.
I started working a this clinic back last March 2020 when all this mess hit us. I have worked every single day that I was scheduled without fail, until recently. On January 25th I had my first symptoms and on the 27th, I tested positive. Not good!
This stuff is NO JOKE, don't mess with it! Wear your mask! Wash your hands! STAY AT HOME! We have to get this thing under control! I have been back to work only two days so far and they were reduced shifts. I am still very weak and need to rest a lot. It's hard to breath, even right now sitting here typing this.
Please do your part and give your essential workers a break. We need a break.
Now, let's see something that's happy and cheerful.

Hello! I clicked on your link from the Lou Lou Girls Party because of the picture of that beautiful quilt. But then I read your story and I am so glad I clicked over. Your work is so appreciated and I hope you take care of yourself. My husband is in the medical field too and some days are just exhausting for him. I pray you feel better soon. If you ever want to share your posts at another link party I host one on Fridays called Home Matters Linky Party over at www.modernonmonticello.com

DeleteI love your vintage decor! I am new to your blog and found you through Penny's Passion linkup. I am glad to hear you're feeling better from Covid, even though you're still battling the long term effects. All six of us in my family had it before Thanksgiving and I still have symptoms as well...mainly breathing and no sense of smell/a burning smell inside my nose. It's so weird, isn't it? Anyway, I followed you on Instagram as well, I am JenLloydGoodwin on there. I love your feed! Have a wonderful day and I hope you return to your old healthy self soon.
