3 Easy and Elegant Ways to Style Cloth Napkins (Featuring Light Steel Blue by FabricRush)

I’ll be the first to say it, cloth napkins aren’t just for fancy dinners or holiday spreads. They’re like the jewelry of a table setting: small, pretty, and totally capable of stealing the show.

Today I’m sharing three sweet and simple ways to style my new FabricRush by Ridhi cloth napkins in the “Light Steel Blue” printand spoiler alert: you don’t need to be a tablescape expert to pull these off. These napkins are soft, perfectly tailored, and just the right amount of charming with their vintage-inspired floral pattern. You already know I was in love the second I unfolded one.

Let’s get into the styling ideas!

1. The Mug Bow

Yes ma’am, you read that right. A bow through the handle of a coffee mug. It’s cute, it’s unexpected, and it instantly turns a simple place setting into something special.

Just thread the napkin through the mug handle and create a soft, floppy bow. Add a teaspoon or a little cinnamon stick inside the cup for extra flair. This would be darling for a brunch or even just a slow Saturday morning when you want to feel a little fancy (because why not?).

2. The Layered Plate Drape

This is your classic go-to look, but with a grandmillennial twist. Simply fold the napkin into a long rectangle and let it drape horizontally across your charger plate. It brings movement and color to the whole setting and is perfect for letting that beautiful light steel blue print peek through.

Top it off with a bread roll, a piece of fruit, or a tiny bud vase if you’re feeling extra. (And I usually am.)

3. The Tuck and Roll in a Goblet

Here’s where form meets function. Form a square with your napkin, then grab the bottom corner and tuck inside a clear goblet.  Add a fresh sprig of rosemary to be even more fancy!  This keeps everything tidy but still feels cozy and intentional.

This one’s great for casual dinners or outdoor meals, especially when you want guests to just grab and go without sacrificing style.

Whether you’re hosting guests or just setting the table for yourself (as you should!), these FabricRush by Ridhi napkins are one of those small details that make everything feel pulled together and a little more beautiful.
