Stars, Stripes, and Sass: My Red, White and Blue Home Tour

Well bless your sparkler loving heart for stopping by! Around here, we don’t just celebrate the Fourth of July, we decorate for it like we’re hosting George Washington, Dolly Parton, and a bald eagle named Earl all in one backyard barbecue.

Now y’all know I love my house looking like it’s ready for a parade at any moment, and when summer hits, I roll out the red, white, and blue like it’s a personality trait. From the front door to the bedroom, if it doesn’t scream America, I didn’t decorate it.

Let me take you on a little tour of my patriotic paradise:

The Living Room:
I popped little flags into every flower arrangement like they were garnishes on a freedom cocktail. There’s a throw pillow situation happening on the couch that could qualify as a fire hazard, one wrong sparkler and the whole place might go up in a puff of polyester stuffing and patriotism.

The Dining Room:

The table is set like we’re expecting Betsy Ross for supper. I used red gingham, thrifted glassware, and a giant dictionary as a centerpiece because nothing says “land that I love” like repurposed old stuff and a crocheted doily. It’s equal parts thrifted charm and firecracker flair.

The Mantel:

Covered in vintage flags, thrifted treasures, and a few things I hot glued in a moment of inspiration. One of my cats tried to claim it as her stage, so now she’s basically the grand marshal of the living room parade.

The Bedroom:

Yes ma’am, even the bedroom got the red, white, and blue treatment. My bed is dressed like it’s about to sing the national anthem, and there’s a garland hanging above that makes me feel like I’m sleeping in a slice of comfy pie. Cozy? Yes. Subtle? Absolutely not.

In short, I may have overdone it, but isn’t that what freedom’s all about?

So, if you're looking for inspiration, or just want to feel better about your own restraint, come on in, grab a sweet tea, and enjoy the red, white, and blue rodeo I call home.

If you got this far, I appreciate you.  I'm sorry for being gone so long, but I think I'm back for now, so stay tuned for more goofiness and inspiration!

Happy Fourth, y’all!
