My New Home all Dressed up for Christmas!

Hello! I'm home! Didja miss me?

As I write this, I'm home sick with what I believe is the new version which is milder than the one I had last year.  Again, my coworker receptionist gave it to me! :(

Anywhoooobs, I hope your holidays were wonderful!  We actually finished moving out the remainder of of our stuff on Christmas Day, but we got it all done in time to be out before the deadline on the 27th.

This is my new living room.  Of course I had to decorate for Christmas because I had my entire family over here to celebrate the Sunday after Christmas.  It was wonderful!  Lots of food and laughter!

FUN FACT:  My Christmas trees and decor was some of the very first items I moved in!

She's a 1954 Mid Century Modern with 1,252 square feet of homey goodness!  I have two bedrooms and two baths.  I love her hardwood floors throughout and she has lots of upgrades done already, so there are only a few things I have to do to get her where I want her to be. More on that later!

My first night in my new home was not the fairy tale story I had made up in my head!  You see, I moved in on a Wednesday 12/8/21.  The electricity was supposed to be turned on the previous Monday 12/6/21, which was my closing day.  Turns out, they never turned in the request and my first day there was very dark and cold until about 8pm that night when they finally turned on the power.  I kept calling all day until they finally realized that there was actually no request and made it an emergent situation to get my power turned on.  Thank goodness my small home doesn't take long to heat up to comfortable!

This is my big fireplace that I have not got to try out yet.  There are currently some tree branches touching the top of the chimney cover and I don't want to take any chances of that hazard, but I can't wait to give it a whirl!

I used my tall dresser in the living room for storage.  My small house only has two closets.  One is full of my vintage decor and the other, my actual clothing!

These two vintage chairs were an early Christmas gift from my youngest son!  They are so comfy and look close to new!

Also, Ophelia is in the living room this time.  The dining room is very small and apparently I have not taken any photos in there yet?!? Coming soon!

Ophelia is holding my little cocoa bar for the season!  She also holds LOTS of vintage items I use for decor.

The kitchen is beautiful! I love it so much!  All of my colorful dishes pop against the white background.  Those are quartz counter tops yall, I love them!

I got out all of my Christmas Pioneer Woman and Rae Dunn pieces to decorate the open shelves with.

The other side.  See where the fridge is?  That's where they originally had the washing machine.  The fridge and dryer were in the Dining room.  NOPE!

I'm having the washer/dryer moved out into the garage.  That's been a nightmare because everyone is still on vacation from the holidays.  I finally had the plumbers in on Wednesday to plumb in the washer, but now I have to wait until next Wednesday to get the electrical done.  Luckily, my Mama lives 3 minutes away from me and lets me do my laundry at her house. Yay!

I also have my bedroom done up for Christmas as well.  Who can sleep comfortably in an un-decorated bedroom? Not me! Lol!

This Lush Decor Ruffle Skirt bed spread was a Christmas gift to myself.  I've been watching it on Walmart.com for a long time.  It started out at $170 and now you can grab the queen size for $40!  The twin and KING are cheaper than that! That's even less than I paid for it! There are lots of colors, I have the white one.

Check out this one too!  Oh my goodness, this one too!  I need them NOW!

Also, my dark pink Tomor Chunky Waffle Blanket is not only cozy, but makes my Christmas bed more beautiful!

I've got to have all the cozy and of course my handmade sign and cute wreath to finish it all off!

There's still lots to unpack and organize, but hey, Rome wasn't built in a day yall! Lol!

Have a wonderful day!

It doesn't have to be done all at once.  It is a slow process in the works! C-ya next time!

If you loved any of these ideas and want to save them for later, be sure to pin it to your favorite Pinterest board.  I have a Pinterest board set up for all things Christmas or Holidays related and its called Cool YuleI'm pinning something new every day. Won't you join me?
