It's that time again, time for the red, white and blue to come out! It's one of my very favorite times of the year to decorate! Do you decorate for all the RWB holidays?
Here's our living room in the tiny house rental! This couch cover is still wonderful! Check it out here if you need a good couch cover. My pillow covers add a great pop of color to the otherwise neutral couch. All three pillow covers are from Three Little Mommas. Check them out, they're having a huge sale right now!
I made the pallet wood flag a few years back. I also added a flag to the wall planters. Small touches like the flags add so much!
See how I made the flag here and how I made the book page garland here.
In the tiny house there is not much room for lots of stuff, so we're using our old farmhouse table and wooden crate as an entertainment station. It all sits right below the TV. It's working pretty good for us so far!
Almost all of these items are things I've thrifted along through the years. The Victrola is new and the metal tray and tiny metal star is from Just Joy Shop. The yo-yo flag is an Etsy find!
This is my quilt rack I like to decorate for all the occasions! I recently found this old quilt at an antique mall for $25! It's really tattered and torn, but I love it that way!
Lots of my DIYs on here too. The USA banner with toilet paper roll rockets and the 2x4 flag too.
See how to make the flag here.
Now on to the dining room. This is the everyday look we have. Just a simple crocheted doily with a metal tray, a RWB doily, a candle holder and fresh carnations!
Carnations seem to last forever, so to get more bang for your buck, choose carnations!
Recently I created a RWB table setting for one of my Instagram tours and this was my centerpiece. I made the can filled with pinwheels and the rest were thrifty finds.
These Heritage Floral Pioneer Woman dishes are some of my favorites, but very hard to come by! I've had the plates for a while, but just recently found the bowls at Walmart! Gorgeous!
My favorite thing for my table settings is using my vintage silverware! Love!
Up next I decorated Ophelia, my old Hoosier hutch! She's orange and green, but I always doll her up for any and every occasion. She doesn't mind, she actually loves to play dress up! ;)
I'm always switching things around over here. She's full of more vintage goodness too!
If you don't have actual patriotic decor, just gather up all of your red, white and blue items, add a flag or two and use them in your decor to create small vignettes. So fun!
I hope you've enjoyed my patriotic decor tour! Here's the one from last year in our old house if you need more inspiration! :)
If you loved this idea and want to save it for later, be sure to pin it to your favorite Pinterest board. I have a Pinterest board set up just for all things decor called Red, White and Blue and all kinds of other fun stuff and, I'm pinning something new every day. Won't you join me?
Cute decor. Good luck on house hunting.
ReplyDeleteHello there! Thank you so much sweet friend, we will need it! :)
DeleteSo pretty. I really love how you decorate. Hope all goes well with your house hunt. I just know you will find the right one. Really enjoy your posts
ReplyDeleteHello Judy! Thank you so much, I truly appreciate that! :)
DeleteI love your patriotic decor! My favorite is the pallet flag. My husband brought home some reclaimed barn wood a few months ago and I've been looking for a reason to use it.
ReplyDeleteHi Michelle! Thank you so much! That flag was fun to make, I hope you get to make one too! :)
DeleteI enjoyed seeing all of your RWB decor; I don't do much but I leave it up through mid July, then get out sunflowers! Years ago I made kitchen curtains that were printed to look like bunting--should hunt them out!!
ReplyDeleteHi Kathy! Thank you so much sweet friend! I bet those curtains are so cute! :)
DeleteHi Marilyn! Thank you so much sweet lady! Happy week to you too and I'll be there! :)
