Simple Hydrangea and Burlap Wreath

Happy Mother's Day!  We will be spending the day with my sweet Mama today and guess what?  I made this wreath for her!  This was really simple to put together.  I think the hardest part was trying to decide if I wanted the Hydrangeas at the top, bottom or side of the wreath.  With a vote from my honey, we decided on the bottom.
It looks lovely on my DIY Sliding Barn Door, maybe I need one for myself?  Let me add that to my to do list! lol!
You will need just a few things to recreate my Hydrangea and Burlap Wreath.

1 - 18" MDF Floral and Craft Ring
1- 5-1/2in x 15ft Roll of Burlap
1 - Small Roll Jute Twine
3 - Hydrangea Stems (color of your choice)
Glue Gun and Sticks
Scissors
Wire Cutters
Step one:  Wrap the wreath form with the burlap ribbon trying to keep it nice and even as you go.
Use your glue gun on the low setting to start and finish the ends of the burlap ribbon.
Step 2:  Using the wire cutters, lop off the flower bunch from the stem, then using a small amount of twine, thread it through the stems of the flower bunch.
Now, tightly tie the flower bunch on to the wreath form in a single knot.  I added a drop of glue to keep it in place.  Repeat with the other two flower bunches.
Step 3:  Pull the leafs off the stems and using hot glue, add then in where you think they need to be on your wreath.
Step 4:  Using the remainder of the burlap ribbon, create a bow.  Tie on with twine leaving enough extra length to hang it with.  Hang and enjoy!
I told you it was simple to put together.  My Mama's favorite color is purple so I made sure to pick out some Hydrangeas with a bit of purple in them but you could use any color you wanted to.  Since Memorial Day is coming up, this would make a great patriotic wreath if you used red, white and blue flowers and a white burlap ribbon too.  There are so many options really, just have fun!

It doesn't have to be done all at once.  It is a slow process in the works! C-ya next time!
