A Valentine Treat - Upcycled Starbucks Bottle

Last week I posted a recycled Valentine using a Pirouline tin and today I have another recycled idea for you.  This time I used a Starbucks Frappuccino Bottle.  There is still time to make both of these for your sweet Valentines before love day arrives.
This Valentine treat is going to be way easier than last week's project.  I made mine for almost free, I purchased the candy to go inside, but I had everything else on hand in my craft stash.
You will need an empty clean Starbucks Frap bottle.  I use GooGone to remove the sticky that the labels leave behind.  That stuff is great!
You will also need some small paper doilies too.  I've had these Wilton Heart Doilies forever and I found them in the cake decorating section, but I'm pretty sure you can find some similar at the dollar store too.
You will also need a valentine cup cake holder. I ended up using the one with all the hearts on it.
I used some vintage valentine scrapbook paper to embellish mine, but any love day decorations will do to doll up your bottle.
First, I cut out the cute little vintage valentine and then held the paper doily and the valentine up to the bottle for placement.
I grabbed my ZipDry glue for this project because it holds good and it dries fast, but not so fast you can't make sure to get your placement just right. I love this stuff!
NOTE: I added the paper doily first and held it in place until the glue dried and then I added the valentine being sure to get glue all the way out on the edges so it would adhere well and not lift up.  If some of the glue gets on the glass, gently rub it away before it completely dries.  I added one more paper doily heart to the back of the jar just to fill in the blank space.
Fill your jar with candies, replace the lid and then take one of your baking cups, cover the lid and then tie with some jute or ribbon.  I always add my tag here at this point so its secure in the bow.
Surprisingly enough, this little jar holds lots of candies.  I added the Hershey's Miniatures first then the Reese's Peanut Butter Hearts.  YUM!
The sweet little tag is printed on Kraft card stock and is a digital stamp that I got from The Cutting Cafe'.  Regina has the cutest shop, you should go check it out and tell her I sent you!
These are nice heavy glass jars and they wash up wonderful so why not use them for something cute.  You could also make up bath salts and add to your jar or hot cocoa mix or M&Ms or Skittles or really anything small that could be poured into the jar. The possibilities are endless.
All you have to do it change up the holiday and you could make a treat for that special someone any time of the year!  Do you make your own Valentines?  I hope you can try one of my ideas!
