The turkey burgers are a lot like the turkey meatballs I blogged about HERE. I changed up the recipe a bit and they turned out yummy.
Turkey Burger
1 lb of lean ground turkey
1 Egg
1 tblsp Ketchup
1 tsp Salt
1 tsp Black pepper
1 tsp Montreal Steak Seasoning
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tblsp 2% Milk
3/4 cup Bread crumbs
Preheat oven to 375. Line a rimmed cookie sheet with foil and spray with a light mist of cooking spray. In a medium bowl beat the egg and add the remaining ingredients. Mix well using your hands. Form into patties and place on the foil lined cookie sheet. Bake at 375 for 20 minutes. Flip burgers at 10 minutes.
Sweet Potato Fries
2 medium sweet potatos
2 tblsp Olive Oil
1 tsp Salt
1 tsp Black pepper
1 tsp Cumin
1/4 cup Brown sugar
Preheat oven to 375. Line a rimmed cookie sheet with foil. Cut potatoes in half and then slice potatoes into wedges. Drizzle olive oil over potatoes and coat well. Lay fries out on the cookie sheet and sprinkle your mixture of salt, pepper, cumin and brown sugar over all the fries. Bake at 375 for 20 minutes, longer if you prefer your fries really crispy.
When I built our burgers, I used the thin sandwich bread with some low cal homemade ranch dressing that I blogged about HERE, then added some romaine salad, avocado and of course a slice of pepper jack cheese. YUMMY!
It doesn't have to be done all at once. It is a slow process in the works! C-ya next time!
