Happy Sunday!
We got lots of good rain yesterday here in Texas {where we live anyways} and this morning the sun is shining brightly and the birds are happy and singing around the feeders and we are happy too!
We've been working on our living room for a few weeks now and it's coming along nicely. Let me tell you what we've done so far.
This is our living room before we moved in. We stripped the ceilings of its lovely dirty popcorn covering.
Then my honey re-sprayed it and we gave it a more modern "knock-down" look. Oh so much better!
We removed all the ancient shiny brass and faux wood outlet covers.
Then we took down all the ugly wood paneling. Notice that my son is wearing his gloves and safety glasses, its a must when you are doing house demo!
Then we patched the sheet rock where the glue from the paneling ripped and tore it. That was NOT fun!
Now thanks to the help of my honey's Dad, we are texturing and painting the walls. He's here visiting and that's what he does as his trade. {Yay for us!} After the paint is all dry, we will put the trim that matches the overhead beams back in place and decorate the walls! So stay tuned, we're getting there!
It doesn't have to be done all at once. It is a slow process in the works! C-ya next time!
looking good deedee...looking good..hugs
