Hey there! How's the weather treating you? We are finally out the frigid, non-bearable temps and back to normal. One night when it got down to 9 degrees, my heater stopped working. I woke up and it was 49 degrees in my house! No worries, I lit the fireplace and turned on the oven and it was ok to get ready for work. My oldest son just happens to be in the business and came and it fixed it for me. It's working better than ever now!

As Valentine's Day approaches, it's time to infuse your home with a touch of love and nostalgia. If you're looking to create a warm and enchanting atmosphere, consider adorning your fireplace mantle with vintage Valentine decorations. Crafting Memories: Vintage Ball Jar Valentine's Day Gift with a Handmade Tag

Hey there! Who's ready for Valentine's Day? Are you a "like it" or "leave it" Valentine type person? I like it. Not because I have a significant other to share the day with, but because my granddaughter's get the biggest kick out Mamaw making them something!

For some, Valentine's Day is a special occasion to express your love and appreciation for the important people in your life. Instead of opting for conventional gifts, why not add a personal touch this year? In this blog post, I'll show you a charming DIY Valentine's Day gift idea that combines the timeless appeal of a vintage Ball jar with the creativity of paper crafting.

Materials Needed:

Vintage Ball Jar: The classic blue Ball jar, with its nostalgic charm and versatility, serves as the perfect canvas for this heartfelt gift.
Paper Crafting Tag: A handmade tag adds a personal and artistic touch to your Valentine's Day present. Choose high-quality paper and gather your favorite crafting supplies.
Decorative Elements: Enhance the visual appeal of your gift by incorporating decorative elements such as ribbons, twine, or heart-shaped embellishments.
Writing Instruments: Ensure you have fine-tip markers, calligraphy pens, or any writing tool of your choice for adding a sweet message to your paper crafting tag.

Selecting the Vintage Ball Jar: Begin by choosing a jar that suits the recipient's taste. You might find these jars at antique shops, thrift stores, or even in your grandmother's attic. Clean the jar thoroughly to make it ready for your creative touch.
I always say, use what you have, it's cheaper that way. I used one of my small blue ball jars, some paper doilies, a map from an old book and lots of ribbons and such to decorate it with. Oh, and of course the candy to fill the jar with. I poured the entire bag of candy in the jar. Perfect fit too!
Decorating the Jar: Embellish the jar with decorative elements that align with the theme of Valentine's Day.
A little scotch tape will do fine to secure your paper decorations.
The paper doily is tucked behind the map page and the map page is taped to the jar to hold it.
Decorating the Jar: Tie ribbon, twine or pom-poms around the neck of the jar for an extra special touch.
Designing the Tag: Let your creativity shine as you design a tag for your Valentine's Day gift. Consider incorporating the recipient's favorite colors, romantic motifs, or personalized messages. Cut the tag to the desired size and shape, ensuring it complements the size of the Ball jar.
I grabbed another piece of the map that had Texas on it and guess what? It actually had the name of the city we live in on it! I was so surprised! I used my Cuttlebug to cut out all the tag pieces and then Zip Dry Glue to attach it all together.
Assembling the Gift: Once all the elements are ready, carefully place the tag around the jar. Make sure it's securely fastened, and adjust any decorative elements as needed. Your Valentine's Day gift is now a beautiful and personalized creation.
Adding a Personal Message: Use your chosen writing instrument to add a heartfelt message on the paper crafting tag. Share your feelings, recount special memories, or simply express your love. The personal touch will make your gift even more meaningful.

Vintage Glam Valentine Bedroom Decor

Hey there and happy February! I hope you've been staying warm. As I'm writing this, we are currently in the middle of an ice storm here in Texas. Yuck!

Let's talk about something fun! Valentine bedroom decor.

Recently, I've gotten a few new bedding items to share with you! They're perfect for Valentine's Day too!

Love notes from the Dollar Tree. This cute wooden envelope was from last year, but any little decor piece would be adorable.

The gorgeous eucalyptus garland is one of my favorite finds on Amazon. Believe me when I say, YOU NEED ONE! Actually, I have two to make it fuller. I also strung lights in it too for a cozy feeling at night.

I made the yarn heart garland two years ago and then just used twine to attach it to the greenery.

Vintage Farmhouse Inspired Valentines Day Decor Ideas

Hello there! I've been missing for a bit, a long bit, but I'm back to show you my Valentine goodies!

If you follow me on Instagram, you've already seen these ideas, but in case you don't follow along, here we go!

This is the centerpiece I have on my living room table. Vintage, its a must in my home! The candy box and tiny Valentine on it, is very special to me. The box is one my Mama saved from my childhood and the Valentine is my sweet Mama when she was little. See how I made it HERE.

Let me just stack some books up anywhere and I'm happy! I already had the book sacks on my mantle so I just added some scrabble tiles and red vintage hobnail votive holders.

My vintage mailbox collection is always a fun space to decorate for all occasions. I thought my collection of vintage Valentines was a perfect to show off in and on my mailboxes.

In my bedroom I added a beautiful eucalyptus garland and my DIY yarn heart garland to my vintage door headboard and then dolled up my bed with some yummy soft bedding and cute throw pillows! PERFECT! See a close up HERE.
