Hey there! Well, I'm happy to announce that we are only hovering close to 100 degrees now and its actually tolerable for we Texans! Lol! I'm still channeling Fall weather with my decor inside the house. So, crank the a/c down and let's talk Halloween, it is September after all! I try and stay with the spooky-cute in my home. As the air turns crisp and the leaves transform into a symphony of reds and oranges, just not in Texas, it can mean only one thing: Halloween is just around the corner! This beloved holiday is the perfect opportunity to let your creativity run wild and transform your home into a spooky wonderland. And where better to start than with the heart of your living space - the fireplace? In this blog post, I'll share some creative and enchanting ideas for decorating your fireplace for Halloween that will leave your guests spellbound.
Spooktacular Color Scheme
Consider a Halloween color scheme that includes deep oranges, blacks, and purples. Use these colors for your mantel decorations, throw pillows, and other accents. A pumpkin-themed garland or wreath can tie everything together beautifully.
- Gothic Elegance
For those who appreciate a touch of dark, Gothic elegance, consider adorning your fireplace with black lace mantel runners, candelabras with dripping red candles, and ornate, antique-looking mirrors. Add some faux cobwebs and strategically placed black roses for an extra eerie ambiance. I started with a layer of one spiderweb mantle scarf, a couple creepy cloths from the Dollar store and a length of faux black eucalyptus.

Next, I used a Happy Halloween garland as well as a felt ball garland to tie everything together beautifully.

Pro Tip: I keep tiny nails in my mantle all year round to hand the various garlands and such that I use for decorating.

Another striking way to add Gothic Elegance to your decor is by adorning your vintage mirror over the fireplace with a massive skeleton-themed wreath. By hanging a wreath like this, it will infuse your living space with a touch of Gothic elegance and macabre charm as discussed previously.

Whoa, I'm having a hard time embracing Fall with Chicagoland temps in the 90's...let alone Halloween. This setting is spooky great and colorful...definitely embracing the coming season. I often turn my pumpkins around until the first of October and keep a Fall look going. Fun post!
