Front Porch Decor for Fall and Halloween

Hey there!  The weather is starting to get cooler and the weather man is saying something about a cold front coming! What?  It's time to get the front porch dolled up for Fall and Halloween! Woohoo!

Here's a few of my ideas from this year.  My orange house is perfectly dressed for Fall, dontcha think?

Dress up your vintage bicycle with some Fall foliage in the basket.  I get all of my blooms at the Dollar twenty five store or Wally world!

In case you don't follow me on Instagram, this is Dolly Mae!  She's my outside kitty and my little helper!  She adopted me when I first moved in here.  We're best buddies now but it took me from December of last year to the end of June to make friends with her.  I just found out that she has a mosquito allergy, so she's recovering from that and I went ahead and had the mosquitos sprayed for just to be safe while she recovers!

An easy and cute porch decor trick is to add mums to old galvanized buckets.  Lean some handmade wooden crafts with your buckets for extra cuteness! See scarecrow here and pumpkin here.

NOTE:  A new trick I learned, is to water your mums from the bottom to keep them from dying two minutes after you buy them! The buckets help the process of watering from the bottom!

Stacking pumpkins is one of my favorite things to do for Fall!  I got all of my pumpkins at Wally World this year.  Pretty affordable compared to what I've paid in the past years.

I tried growing pumpkins from seeds I harvested from last years pumpkins, but our extreme hot temps with no rain caused them to not produce any fruit, just beautiful vines and blooms.  I'll try again next year though!  Have you ever grew your own pumpkins?

Bring out your life sized skelly and her son and pose them on your vintage bicycle.

By the way, have you met Winifred and Thackery yet?  One day they wanted to go for a bike ride and have a Fall photo shoot, the photo shoot didn't end well! Heehee!  Go watch my reels on Instagram to see what all they get in to.

Another fun idea is to stage Winifred's boots and hat that she left out on the front steps with your stacked pumpkins and a homemade witches broom.  I made the broom using a tree branch and twigs and then tied it all together with some jute twine.

P.S. I found Winnie's boots and hat on Etsy if you need some for your fun, life sized skeleton or just for your front porch! *wink*

I hope you got lots of inspiration from all of my fun Fall ideas and try them out for yourself!  See ya!

If you loved any of these ideas and want to save them for later, be sure to pin it to your favorite Pinterest board.  I have a Pinterest board set up for all kinds of Halloween Decor ideas and it's called Boo to YouI'm pinning something new on Pinterest every day. Won't you join me?

  2. You definitely have a fun display this year. Thanks for sharing the tip about watering the mums from the bottom. I haven't bought any this year because they die so quickly so I might try that out. #HomeMattersParty
