Touches of Fall in the Living Room

Hello Fall!

Have you decorated for Fall yet?  I'll be honest and tell you that I've had my Fall decor up for a couple of weeks now.  Yes, it was still reaching 100 degrees outside, but I waited as long as I could and then I gave in! Haha!

As you can see I like to use the traditional Fall colors.  Florals and pumpkins are my main theme throughout the house.  I have a pretty good stash of decor for each season, so I just drag out the totes and start placing things here and there.
One new item I got this year is this beautiful leaf garland from Backyardprims on Etsy.  I also have her pumpkin garland too! Hurry before she runs out!
I also like to use my old speckled enamel ware that I've collected over the years too.  Just plop some florals in them and they are good! Another new item I got this year is the amber Ball jars.  I just put an old zinc lid on it to make it look authentic!
Stacked books are my favorite! I love stacking a few up and placing a little scene on top! So cute!
This is my old silver coffee pot, Sylvia.  She's holding old kitchen gadgets and Fall florals.  As you nay have noticed, another thing I love doing is placing flowers in unusual containers.
I made these 2x4 pumpkins several years ago.  You can see how to make them right HERE.
I also made this several years ago too.  It's just a lot of orange and brown buttons on a piece of burlap in the shape of a pumpkin.  I guess I didn't make a tutorial on it because I cant find one.  Sorry!
I mostly just use what I have already and if I buy anything new, it's not much, usually thrifted.  I love Fall colors and also love seeing them in our home as decor.
I also change things up often.  If I think something may look better a different way, I just change it up.  Do you do that too, or are you a person who puts something in place and then leaves it?

You can see how I made this book page garland right HERE.

Fun Fact: My hubs found that beautiful Fall colored scarf (on the chair) on the side of the road!  It was all dirty and had grass stuck to it, but I washed it up and now use it as decor.

It wont be long now until I decorate for Halloween! Stay tuned! :)

If you loved this idea and want to save it for later, be sure to pin it to your favorite Pinterest board.  I have a Pinterest board set up just for all things related to home decor and its called Farm House Decor Ideas and I'm pinning something new every day. Won't you join me?

GREAT NEWS!  I now have an Amazon Storefront!  If you ever want to purchase anything I'm showing you here, you can pop over to my shop and see what I've picked out for you! Click right here to visit.

It doesn't have to be done all at once.  It is a slow process in the works! C-ya next time!
