Strawberry Honey Overnight Oats

We had never tried overnight oats but I kept seeing them on Instagram and figured we might as well try them.  I found a yummy recipe from The Rising Spoon for overnight oats, we tried it and loved it.  Thanks Elaina!  We were hooked!

As we sat and ate our oats we (the guys and me) were all just saying out loud different things that would be good in an overnight oat recipe and this is just one idea we came up with.  We have lots more to try.
Although we named it Strawberry Honey, it has lots more goodness in there too!
You will need these ingredients to remake my recipe:

Old Fashioned Oats
2% Milk
Banana Berry Blend Frozen Fruit
Honey Strawberry Greek Yogurt
Ground Cinnamon
Honey
Optional: Flax Seeds, mixed nuts, granola
I use pint jars with a wide mouth so its easly made, stored and eaten all with one container.

To make your overnight oats, layer the ingredients in the following order.  This is just how I do it, if you feel there is a better way, please do so.

1/2 cup Oats
1/2 cup Yogurt
1 tsp Cinnamon
1 tblsp Honey
1/2 cup Milk
2 tsp Flax Seed
1/2 cup Frozen Fruit

Seal jar tightly and store in fridge until morning.  When you're ready to eat your oats, carefully stir to mix ingredients and add your choice of toppings. Enjoy!
The guys really had high praise for this recipe and now we can't wait to try more of the recipes we came up with.

It doesn't have to be done all at once.  It is a slow process in the works! C-ya next time!

  2. How funny, I just ate a free store bought Friday Freebie from our grocery store for Overnight Oats. They only had one flavor when I picked it out. It was okay, but I would not buy it.

Yours sounds better. I need to try this.
