DIY Vintage Christmas Decor

This Christmas decoration is so simple that anyone can make this! If you love vintage items and you collect them like we do, shop your stash and get to creating!  I actually thought up this idea last year and I loved it so much I used it again.  Look HERE for how it looked last year.
I've had this cheese box for several years and I normally use it in my everyday decorations for the kitchen, so I thought I'd doll it up a bit for the holidays.
You can find these cheese boxes on Etsy, yard sales, vintage resale shops...anywhere if you're looking!  They are normally very inexpensive.  Anywho, I emptied mine of its normal toothpicks and drinking straws and went shopping in my craft stash.
First I placed a piece of burlap in the bottom for filler.  The box is a bit deep for the look I wanted, so I had to build it up a bit.
In case you don't already know, when making decorative arrangements, always use odd numbers.  My great Aunt taught me that when I was really young, its a good to know!  I placed 5 red plastic ornaments and then added some floral pics which I failed to snap a picture of!  Sorry about that!
Just a few red feather picks and some picks that have berries, leaves and glittery gold branches.  I always save little floral picks off of wreaths and arrangements or gifts and then I have them when I need them for times like this!  When the holidays are over, just disassemble and return to regular use.

If you like my poinsettia curtain you can READ HERE how I made it!

It doesn't have to be done all at once.  It is a slow process in the works! C-ya next time!

I'm Linking to THESE lovely and FUN parties!
