Our Halloween Decorations 2011

Happy Sunday!
Before we get to our Halloween 2011 decorations I must say we've had to put our remodeling tasks on hold. Life just seems to get in the way sometimes. But that's ok, He only gives us what we can handle and then you just take it one day at a time.

We did finish the wainscoting and the chair rail and we really love the way it looks, but we think it will look even more awesome once we slap a coat of color to it.
So we've chosen a lovely yellow for the walls and a grand green for the wainscoting and rail.  The ones we chose are the very far right side on each paint chip.
So, with that in mind keep checking back in on us to see if we've added color to the dining room.
On to our Halloween decorations. Of course I had to doll up the old hutch.  I think she loves Halloween the best...since she's orange and all! Heehee!
I added my little yo-yo bunting that I bought from a very sweet lady who has an Etsy shop called Back Yard Prims.  You'll see another one of her pretties shortly!
Back there in the corner are my spooky bottles I made last year. And there in the foreground are my little paper witch hat and the one eyed monster treat bag I made just this year. They are for sale in my Etsy shop!
I love decorating my little old chippy paint hutch and I also love bringing out all my fun Halloween decorations too!  There old with new this year.....I guess that's every year!
Here's my old scale with a white pumpkin perched on top.....it weighs a 1/2 pound! lol!
This is my Mamaw's fruit sieve that she used to make many, many jars of jelly with.  I've used it several times in my lifetime too!  My honey cut out those blocks for me then sanded them smooth, painted them with flat black and then I cut out eek from vinyl and applied it for some fun Halloween blocks.  He made me an orange set too, I just haven't finished those yet! Too many things to do!
Here's our fire place all decked out for All Hallow's Eve! Spooky huh?  See the trick or treat banner?  That's the other little pretty I was telling you about! I love her stuff!
Lots of fun going on there on our mantel this year.  See the little sweater pumpkins? Those are my latest creations.....so much fun to make using an old sweater sleeve.
We found these old wooden candle sticks at the first Monday in Canton, Texas for $3.  I topped them with some dollar store gourds.
There's my little paper back book pumpkin I made a few years back. Oh and there's ole Frankie on the other side of the surround sound speaker.....he's so serious! lol!
I found this cute pumpkin this year at the dollar store and the cute scarecrow I've had since my boys were little.
This is one of the vintage china plates I made to sell in my Etsy shop along with a recent find by a friend of mine, my sweet little baby Ben alarm clock. Oh and my Scentsy Jack-O-Lantern.  They are all sitting on the old crate we found at a yard sale for $5...it's coolness!
This is the hearth of the fireplace with just a few decorations.  The kittens think I sat out all these goodies for them to play with, so very few are at their level this year.  Maybe next year they wont be so curious!

It doesn't have to be done all at once.  It is a slow process in the works! C-ya next time!

  1. Very fun decor! I recently painted our sunroom a green like that (actually, might be closer to the middle color) and I LOVE it. Thinking of painting the master bath the same color because I just can't get enough of it! Can't wait to see how yours turns out!

  2. oooooooooooo loving everything you got going on here...okay so like I think I may actually be painting today myself...my bedroom right now is a light sage and it is just to light for me...so I am painting it a darker golden color called caraway seed...it isn't my favorite but i have it in another place and to get it all redone in totally different colors would be way to expensive so I am going for it...the darn stuff has been sitting in my room for weeks...just have been waiting for the weather to get cooler...hugs
