Halloween Pinwheel How To

Happy Sunday!
Thanks for stopping by our blog! We are "on hold" with the remodeling for right now.  We've been busy with a yard sale and car repairs, so the remodeling adventure will have to wait a bit. Busy or not, I'm still thinking about my Fall decorating for this year.  Here's what I came up with this time.....a Halloween Pinwheel.
I have had some extra time to play in my craft room {I can run a mean yard sale, but working on cars...not so much!} and I've created a fun pinwheel for Halloween.  I had all the supplies in my craft stash and just went shopping for everything I needed.

You will need:
A small can or pail (I had an orange pail)
Black vinyl (for the wording)
Styrofoam (I used a medium sized ball)
Spanish Moss (to hide your Styrofoam)
A wooden skewer
Double sided Scrapbook paper
Hot Glue Gun

To begin cut a 6 x 6 piece of your scrapbook paper and use THIS pinwheel pattern.
I used my Cricut Expressions machine and the Mini Monsters cartridge to cut trick or treat out of black vinyl.  I cut mine at 2", then it's just peal and stick.
I also added a chenille kitty that I learned how to make from my design team sister Lori.  You can see how to make your own HERE.  I also used one of my pretty paper flowers in the center of the pinwheel topped with a  triangle shaped brad.  See how to make the flower HERE.
After you have your pinwheel all assembled like you want it, glue your wooden skewer to the back of it.  Place the Styrofoam in the bottom of your can with a little glue to secure it and then top with the Spanish moss.  Lastly, insert the skewer into the center of the Styrofoam and your done!  Such a simple craft for Halloween and lots of fun too!
It doesn't have to be done all at once.  It is a slow process in the works! C-ya next time!
