I've not tried the cleaning vinegar ...Hi there! I've not tried the cleaning vinegar but since its stronger, you may want to dilute it with water first. I just use regular cooking vinegar to clean with. I've never had a problem with it changing any of the plastic "faux look" fixtures that we have in our home. If nothing else, try using a toothbrush with vinegar and just apply it where you need it.
