Homemade Creamy Tomato Soup

I know I've said it before, but my honey is the best!  Recently I had a tooth ache for about 3 weeks.  I know, I'm stubborn and I am the biggest scared-y cat when it comes to going to the dentist for things I know have to be fixed.  Two Mondays ago it got to the point that I could not stand the pain any longer, so I went.  It ended up I had an infection under one of my wisdom teeth, yes I still had all four of them.  Anyway, I had it extracted on the next Thursday morning.  My honey took off work to take me in because since I'm so scared, I have to be sedated.  After the procedure, we returned home and I was hungry, so he made this soup for me while I sat in the recliner nodding in out of consciousness.  Yall! It was so good!
I asked him where he got the recipe but he said he just looked at a few recipes online and then made up his own.  So here's what he told me he used.  He didn't have exact measurements for me because he just added each of the seasonings until it tasted good to him.
He used one 6oz can of tomato paste and 4 cans of milk and then added the seasonings to taste.  One thing he used that I didn't photograph is minced garlic.

Shopping list:

1 - 6oz can Tomato Paste
Milk (your choice) 4 cans full
Oregano - about 1tsp
Thyme - about 1/4 tsp
Minced Onion - about 1 tsp
Minced Garlic - about 1 tsp
Salt and Pepper - to taste
Using medium high heat and a medium sized pot add your tomato paste, 4 cans of milk and all your seasonings.  Heat and whisk continuously until its incorporated.
When I made my soup, I used one drop of Oregano EO just to try it out in placed of the dried version.  It gave the best flavor.  Click right here if you'd like some Oregano EO for yourself.
He went back to work on Friday.  I stayed home because I was still having some pretty bad pain.  When lunchtime rolled around, I knew I needed to eat something, so I tried to recreate his soup on my own, and to be honest, it wasn't as good as his.  It was ok, just not the same as his.  His was made with love! :)
I poured it up in one of my big Pioneer Woman mugs and sipped on it as I watched Netflix.  I'm feeling so much better now and I don't know why I didn't listen to my honey a few weeks ago when he told me to make an appointment with the dentist!  Imma a brat!

This is a simple recipe and I hope you try it too, it is really good!  It would probably be even better with a grilled cheese sandwich! :)

If you loved this recipe and want to save it for later, be sure to pin it to your favorite Pinterest board.  I have a Pinterest board all set up just for Yummy Recipes and I'm pinning something new every day.

It doesn't have to be done all at once.  It is a slow process in the works! C-ya next time!
